Bikes, Blues, and Bar-B-Q
September, 2009
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who went on this ride for an
immensely enjoyable weekend. To Scott and Karen, second time on my
rides, Dan and Robin, Stephen and Kim, Tom, Trudy, and James, thanks.
Hope to see you all again on the next ride.
It was a chilly morning as we left Eudora at 9 a.m. First stop was Wellsville to pick up Scott and Karen then on to
breakfast at Whistle Stop in Osawatomie. From there we headed to Noel Mo. Arrived at the motel around 4. Rested just
a bit then on to Rogers to Pig Trail Harley Davidson. Back to the motel and dinner at Cotton eyed Joe's.

Motel, Saturday morning, Noel, Mo.
After a good night's sleep, we ambled around the motel a bit Saturday morning then had breakfast in
Noel before heading to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the rally. Rode highway 16 from Siloam Springs to
Fayetteville. What a great ride. I recommend it if you are down that way. Didn't know where the rally was
or what to expect when we got there. What an adventure!!!! Spent 4 hours at the rally, had a great time,
then headed back to Noel. To those of you who think I got lost on the way back, I just took an alternate
route. You made it back, didn't you? Dan wanted to see how many stop lights there were on old highway
71 and I had to show him. Rode highway 90 across southern Missouri for a ways then down a little 1
lane road along the river, and made it back to the motel around 6. Another rest then off down by the
bluffs and along the river to the big rock. Photo op, then back to town for dinner. Had a glorious day.
Smiles all around.
Lake we found on highway 16.
Yes, Karen I did hear banjo
music in the background.

What a glorious day.
Ok, now. These are just some of the pictures of the
rally. Come along with us next year and take some
of your own. Thanks to all who let me grab their
pictures to share on my website. Hope you can
come along next year. All of us who attended this
year had a great time and would love to see the
rides grow in numbers. For my next ride click on my
future rides link.

Sunday morning, and a beautiful morning it was, we got around and
headed home. Had a little breakfast in Noel then on the road. After a few
courtesy stops for the ladies, we ate a good lunch at Chicken Mary's just
outside of Pittsburg.

What a great group.
Thanks again all.
Now you have seen all of us and the
fun we had without you. Plan on
coming along next time and join in on
the good times. We don't care what
kind of bike you ride or where you are
from, we will enjoy your company. Just
watch out for the gals, they like to hit. I
deserved every bruise I came home
with. Thanks ladies for putting up with
me. How about some scenery we
enjoyed now.
So now you have enjoyed
some of our trip. I haven't
found a way to post the
sounds, smells, or feelings
we shared along the way.
Come with us next time and
experience them for yourself.
Once again, Thanks to all
that went along.
